About Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore (1861 – 1941) is regarded as one of the greatest Indian poets in history.

Tagore was a Nobel Laureate for Literature (1913).

He was a great philosopher, philanthropist, and a multitalented genius who is renowned for his poetry, visual arts, novels, plays, and musical compositions.

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth……

 – Rabindranath Tagore

“Evolving minds through music and arts”

Geetanjali’s Mission is to reach out to the children at a younger age; adults, who did not get a chance to pursue music and arts when young, to realize their dreams and children who are suffering from ADHD. Everyone can have the education of music and arts to unravel their potential.

Geetanjali has the vision to promote music, performing arts and crafts where cultural boundaries, demographics and age including special needs are not a restriction anymore.

Mrs Jayeeta Ghosh is the founder and director of Geetanjali Academy of Fine Arts. She is a well-known Indian classical music teacher and a talented performer.

As a performer she was invited to perform at the Nehru Centre in London, the High Commission of India in the UK,  at the Women in Music festival organised by Arts Council of England and SAMA Arts.
